Are you are a wine connoisseur? Or perhaps you just want to try some great local wines to see what you like, before purchasing an entire bottle. Well then mark November 16, 2014 down in your calendar. That's right, The Downtown Santa Cruz Wine Walk is back. This unique wine tasting event pairs delicious local Santa Cruz Mountain wineries with some of your favorite downtown shops. Enjoy casually strolling from store to store, where you browse the store's merchandise, while also being treated to tastings from some Santa Cruz's best wineries.
If you live in the area, or are one of the many people who actively participates in paddle surfing sports like kayaking, wave skiing or stand up paddle boarding (SUP), you are probably familiar with the renowned surf spot found just up the road in Davenport.  What you may not be aware of is that the famous break, located a mere 20 minutes north of Santa Cruz, also plays host to the annual Davenport Paddle Surf Classic, which is set to take place on November 15th & 16th. Mark your calendars and clear your schedules—the Santa Cruz Blues Festival is happening once again this Memorial Day Weekend, on Saturday May 24th and Sunday May 25th, 2014. This outstanding local event will feature 10 talented artists over the two days, including Greg Allman, Chris Isaak, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Vintage Trouble, Tab Benoit, and more. The event takes place in Aptos, CA's Village Park, and gates open at 10am each day, with the 8 hours of music to follow between 11am and 7pm.
