Despite the San
Lorenzo Valley’s off-the-beaten-path feel, the people of
Felton, Ben Lomond, Brookdale, Boulder Creek
are a tight-knit bunch. They share a single
highway but also share small-town values and a sense of pride in their
community.
No matter where you go, the people seem to know one another. Many of them spend
their days as engineers and managers in the high-tech firms of Silicon Valley
but return home to the quiet hillsides, lush meadows, and dense forests they
call home.
 The homes here are as unique as the people. Some live in historic Victorians,
some in rustic mountain cabins, and some in luxurious ranch spreads. Which seems
to be in perfect harmony with San Lorenzo Valley’s diverse culture.
San Lorenzo Valley Neighborhoods
Felton - home of the Famous
Felton Covered Bridge & the Roaring Camp
Railroad, Felton has many diverse neighborhoods including Zayante, Fall
Creek, Mt Hermon, El Soylo Heights, Forest Lakes & Empire Grade. It has
a charming downtown area and shops.
Ben Lomond - is located half way
between Felton & Boulder Creek. Neighborhoods are nestled among the
trees and Highlands Park is a local treasure. Quail Hollow, Newell
Creek, Glen Arbor, Fall Creek & Rancho Rio are some of the quiet family
oriented neighborhoods.
Brookdale - is a
small community known for the famous turn of the century Brookdale Lodge.
Boulder
Creek - is located
half way between Santa Cruz and San Jose. It is a
wonderful country town with restaurants, parks and it's own golf course.
Residents are very eclectic and fiercely local to their tight knit community.

built in the 1890’s this is one of the few remaining covered bridges in
the country.

Henry Cowell State Park:
A wonderful place to take the family,
rest by the river, go for hikes,
or have a picnic.

Big Basin State Park:
The very first California State Park! Home to Berry Falls, and many
old-growth redwood trees. Not to be missed.

Boulder Creek Golf Course:
Head on up to the Boulder Creek Golf

course!

Ciao Bella:
located in Ben Lomond. A zany place to have some dinner.
Great food,
eclectic decor, and a fun floor show.

Boulder Creek Brewery:
One of the few microbreweries in town, a great place to drink beer, eat
dinner, and catch a band.

Scopazzi's:
a favorite restaurant in Boulder Creek for decades.

La Bruschetta:
Felton Eatery for great Italian food, many say it's the best Italian
eateries in all of Santa Cruz County.

Henfling's Firehouse Tavern:
"On the bend in Ben Lomond" - great place to catch local bands, as well
as national acts on tour.

Brookdale Lodge:
The "world famous" Brookdale Lodge is a great place to see live music on
the weekends & a great place to stay, right on Highway 9. Famous for the
creek which runs through the dining room.

Don Quixote’s:
Dinner & a Show! This Mexican restaurant in Felton has excellent food
and is a great venue for world-renowned musicians on a regular basis.
