Aptos, CA will be Hosting World-Class Blues ArtistsMark your calendars and clear your schedules—the Santa Cruz Blues Festival is happening once again this Memorial Day Weekend, on Saturday May 24th and Sunday May 25th, 2014. This outstanding local event will feature 10 talented artists over the two days, including Greg Allman, Chris Isaak, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Vintage Trouble, Tab Benoit, and more. The event takes place in Aptos, CA's Village Park, and gates open at 10am each day, with the 8 hours of music to follow between 11am and 7pm.

The Santa Cruz Blues Festival will be the perfect way to kick-off the summer season in the Santa Cruz and Aptos area. This annual event began twenty-two years ago as a way to celebrate blues music, a uniquely American tradition in a spectacular natural setting. The intimate venue at Aptos Village Park in Aptos, CA could not be better; it’s not every day that you can enjoy world-class music in a natural Redwood amphitheater.

Not only will festival attendees be able to enjoy some world-class blues performances in one of the world’s most beautiful natural arenas, but they will also be able to indulge in local food and drinks. Indulge in BBQ, Asian, Mexican, and New Orleans style food; cool off with a variety of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages including water, smoothies, beer, and wine.

There will also be a merchandise booth for souvenirs as well as opportunity to meet-and-greet the artists and score an autograph. This event is for all ages, and includes a children’s entertainment area featuring face painting and balloon twisting.

Single day tickets and weekend passes are available at Moe’s Alley in Santa Cruz, and at Streetlight Records in Santa Cruz or San Jose. A portion of the festival proceeds will be donated to local charities.
